The National Youth Federation in close aide to CPN UML demonstrated against the government on July 12 at Maitighar condemning the decisions of the government to buy weapons. The protestors also burnt the effigy of the Prime minster. 

They showed disapproval in the government's move and urged to invest rather in buying fertilizers needed for the farmers. They warned the government to continue protests, until the government takes back the decision to buy weapons.
