An incident of rape of an 8-year-old minor girl has become public in Morang after six months. The girl was raped on January 19 by 43-year-old Kajiman Puri of Kanephokhari Rural Municipality-6 but the case was setttled in the village on the same day. Village leaders settled the case by bringing the accused and the girl's family together. The girl's father filed a complaint against the accused on July 14 after he came to know about the incident after the girl suffered pain on her private part. The victim's father was outside the district on work at the time of the incident. Police arrested the accused on the basis of the complaint filed by the victim's father.
