Police arrested Gyan Bahadur Tamang, a 49-year-old cadre of Nepali Congress on July 18, on the charge of physically assaulting two cadres of CPN-UML 30-year-old Denidorji Lama and 61-year-old Jitmaya Lama of Namobuddha municipality-5. The accused physically assaulted the victims on July 17 evening in their home by kicking and punching in their chest and attacking with wooden plank. Due to the assault, the victim Jitmaya sustained injuries on her chest and forehead whereas Deni sustained injuries on his mouth and arms. Police stated that there were preparing to summon both parties to district police office.
