Ram Kumar Bantha Magar, a police constable who was returning home on holiday was physically assaulted by a group of people led by local political leader Khim Bikram Dangi on July 19 in Rolpa. Due to assault, Magar sustained injuries. Magar was rescued by the police after the incident. According to the police, all the accused have been identified whereas the reason behind the assault was unknown. The victim alleged that police have refused to take action against the accused due to political pressure. He stated that all the attackers in the group were his acquaintance.
