Police on July 24 arrested 20-year-old Kiran Loniya of Kotahimai Rural Municipality-1 Sipawa in Rupandehi on the charge of murdering her daughter by feeding her pesticide. The incident became public after  neighbors suspected the untimely death of the minor and reported to police. During police investigation, Loniya revealed that she consumed poison with the intention of committing suicide and also fed it to her daughter frustrated by constant nagging from her mother-in-law. Police arrested her on the basis of complaint lodged by her husband Dhiraj Loniya.
