Cadres of CPN (Biplov) staged a torch rally on August 22, in Kathmandu calling for Nepal Banda on August 23. The demonstrators alleged that the three-point agreement with Biplava-led CPN met during the then KP Sharma Oli-led government has not been implemented rather their party leaders and cadres have been arrested. The demonstrators further staged a demonstration against MCC, inflation, and anti-national treaty and agreement. The Biplov-led CPN along with Rishi Kattel- led CPN, Aahuti-led Scientific communist party and Karnajit Budhathoki-led CPN (Maoist Center)
