Suspicious object thought to be IED found in two places in Kailali

Police found a suspicious object near the Haraiya camp under the Mohanapul Attaria 6-lane road section and East-West Highway in Godavari municipality-1 on August 23 during the nationwide bandh called by small communist parties including Netra Bikram Chand Biplov led Nepal Communist Party. Spokesperson of District Police Office Kailali Deputy Superintendent of Police DSP Ved Prakash Joshi informed that a suspicious object was found wrapped in a cloth in Attariya and in Haraiya a suspicious object that looked like a pressure cooker bomb was found. DSP Joshi said that the CPN led by Netra Vikram Chand Biplav, who called for a Banda in Nepal on August 23, may have kept those suspicious items. He further informed that the Nepali Army has been called to neutralize the suspicious item. Due to the Banda, long and short-distance vehicles could not ply in any district of Sudurpaschim Province including Kailali.
