Deputy chairperson of Tila rural municipality  in Jumla, Gorikala Budha, 41-year-old was physically assaulted by a group of 40-50 people on September 4. Those involved in the group included included Dhanendra Bohora of Tila Rural Municipality-2, Chairperson of ward 2 Chandra Bahadur Bohora, Vrikh Budha of ward 1, Megh Bahadur Basnet, resident teacher of Tila rural municipality ward-8, Chairperson of ward 6 Janga Bahadur Rokaya, Chairperson of ward 9 Dhan Bahadur Rawat  amongst others. The victim alleged that the incident was pre-planned and lodged the complaint on September 5 against the accused on the charge of physical assault. Police have started an investigation into the incident by registering the victim's complaint. Ward 6 chairperson Janga Bahadur Rokaya claimed that the deputy chairperson had not been assaulted rather Nepali Congress had padlocked the Rural Municipality office putting forward various demands.
