CPN (Maoist Center) padlocked the office of Sarkegad rural municipality in Humla on September 8, alleging that there was political bias in the selection of contractual employees. The Maoist Center cadres alleged that the rural municipality was padlocked because the written and oral examination conducted by the rural municipality for the recruitment of contract employees was arbitrary during the selection process. The rural municipality's Chairperson denied the allegation made by the protestors and further added that the selection process was carried forward under the coordination of the rural municipality elected from the Maoist Center, Chandrasingh Karki.
