14-year-old Dipina Panchkoti, of Sunsari's Barahkshetra municipality ward no. 2 studying in Class 8 at the local Adarsh Higher Secondary, was found hanging in her room on September 4. The deceased's father passed away 12 years ago and her mother was in Oman for foreign employment. The girl was living with her uncle and aunt. As per locals her uncle and aunt often used to assault her physically. The victim's mother filed a complaint at Area Police Office Mahendranagar accusing the girl's uncle and aunt of murdering her. Police have started investigation into the incident by arresting the accused couple.
