Cadres of CPN-UML and the ruling coalition in Nawalparasi East clashed over the issue of the withdrawal of nominations. The incident took place on October 12 when  Bal Krishna Gaire of the CPN-Maoist Center was about to withdraw his candidature for the House of Representatives from Constituency No. 2. The deadline for withdrawing the nominations was 1:00 pm on October 12, but Gaire's candidacy withdrawal was halted saying that the deadline for it had passed. Balkrishna Gaire, who attended the District Election Officer's office at before 1:00 PM was in discussion as the candidacy was not withdrawn. Bishnu Karki of Nepali Congress has filed candidacy for the seat of the House of Representatives from Constituency No. 2. in Nawalparasi East from the alliance of the parties in the coalition government.
