Janata Samajwadi Party suspended its central member Krishna Shankar Sah for assaulting party leader Minu Jha during a meeting of the party to discuss electoral issues regarding the Mahottari Constitutency No 3 in Mahottari. According to the party, Sah slapped Minu during the meeting over a Jha and the Mayor of Jaleshwor Municipality Suresh Sah Sonar. The two were reportedly feuding on Facebook before the incident took place. Issuing a press release the party's Head of the Central Information, Communication, Publication and Propaganda Department, Purna Bahadur Basnet stated that Sah, who acted in indiscipline against the rules and regulations of the party, insulted woman leader and behaved indecently, was punished according to the provisions of the party constitution.
