35-year-old Biren Sah, a local, of Gauradah Municipality-8 of Jhapa,  committed suicide by shooting himself on the head with a pistol after shooting and injuring his 14-year-old nephew in Gauradaha municipality-8. Biren absconded the scene after after shooting his nephew but later was later found dead possibly as a result of suicide, according to police. The injured boy is undergoing medical treatment in B and C Hospital. Police are meanwhile, further investigating the incident. Police recovered a home-made pistol, 2 magazines, and 15 rounds of bullets from the site of Biren's death.
