Lumbini, Rupandehi, Sammarimai, Ward 5

The cadres of parties clashed with each other during the shoot of a election centered television debate program on November 4 at ward no.5 of Sammarimai rural municipality in Rupandehi district. Four candidates, namely Pramod Yadav from Nepali Congress, Sarbendranath Sukla from Lo.Sa.Pa, Bhopendra Yadav from Janamat Party, and Om Prakash Yadav were present as panelist in the program hosted by journalist Rishi Dhamala.

The clash happened after the audience condemned the statement of Nepali Congress candidate as he mentioned that he had lobbied for four lane road at Bethari, Lumbini, and Marchwar. The audience asked him to stop lying and responded saying it was done by CPN UML government.

The supporters of Nepali Congress cadres then attacked the audience with chair and bricks, as briefed by a human rights defender. The attack injured Muralidhar Shukla, principal of Lal Bihari Secondary School of Kotimahi rural municipality who had gone there to listen the debate.
