A clash broke out between the cadres of CPN-UML and cadres of the ruling alliance in Darchula on November 10 during an election campaign in Apihimal rural municipality-5. According to the police, the clash ensued after the cadres of alliance allegedly attempted to obstruct the election campaign of of Ram Dutta Joshi, a CPN-UML candidate of provincial assembly constituency-2. According to police, cadres of the ruling alliance Jahendra Dhami of Apihimal Rural Municipality-6, Jagat Dhami and cadres of CPN-UML activists Birendra Bista of Marma Rural Municipality-3 and Suresh Badi of Shailyashikhar Municipality-9 were injured in the clash.
