Independent candidate for Kathmandu constituency no 9 allegedly assaulted

Rajendra Prasad Pathak, an independent candidate for the House of Representative election from Kathmandu constituency no-9, alleged that he was brutally assaulted by the cadres of rival parties. Accordin to Pathak, he was assaulted on November 15 while he was returning home via Kirtipur after a program at Chandragiri municipality. He demanded to action against those who assaulted him. He further speculated he was either assaulted by either the cadres of the ruling alliance or CPN-UML who he claimed felt threatened by his popularity.
