Voting was postponed at the Karaiya Devisthan polling center located in Budhiganga Rural Municipality-1 of Region No. 6 of Morang following a loud explosion inside the center while the voters were voting in the queue. With the sound of the explosion there was a stampede among the voters. Chief District Officer Kashiraj Dahal informed that the polling was postponed after the voters ran away panicking  believing that the explosion was due to an IED. It was later found that the item was a fire cracker. Security personnel are investigating identify the persons responsible for the incident.
