Biratnagar, Registrar Tul Bahadur Shrestha at B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences ( BPKIHS ), Dharan has appealed the agitating staffers of the Institute to end their strike in the light of formation of the High Level Salary Scale Commission to address their demands. Staffers have been on a strike for sometime demanding increment in the salary and other facilities. Registrar Shrestha said that the 36th assembly of the working council has already decided to form a salary commission under the coordination of the former vice-chancellor of BPKIHS , Dr. Shekhar Koirala. He further shared that the commission will have Dr. Yagya Bahadur Karki, Secretaries from Finance Ministry, Ministry of Health and Population and deputy registrar of the Institute to look into the matter. Shrestha, in the appeal, urged all the teachers, physicians, employees and students not to go by the rumors and aggravate the strike. The regular activities in the Institute have been adversely affected due to the strike.
