Police arrested a cadre of CPN (Majority) led by Dharmendra Bastola which has boycotted the election on the charge of vandalizing a ballot box in Lumre polling center of Machhapuchhre rural municipality-8. The CPN (Majority) cadre vandalized the ballot box as a part of its official position to disrupt and obstruct the election. Ballot papers were scattered stray after the ballot box broke in the vandalism. Election officials later collected the ballot papers in agreement with teh representatives of political parties.
