Ilam, Pati dwara patni ko hatya. ILAM: A man reportedly murdered his wife, in Ilam on Thursday. Police said that Biren Rai (30) of Maipokhari-3, Ilam hacked his wife Januka Rai to death under the influence of alcohol. According to a preliminary investigation, Biren killed his wife Januka over a family spat at around 9 pm yesterday. Critically injured Januka died on the way to hospital, Inspector Padam Thapaliya of the District Police Office said. Thapaliya said that they have taken Biren under control for investigation. Januka has six-year-old son and nine-month daughter, said the police.
