Ilaam, patni hatya ko aropma pati thunama. Ilam/September 19 Biren Rai, 30, of Maipokhari VDC-3 has killed his wife Januka Rai (Karki) on September 18. Inebriated Biren had thrashed Januka following a domestic dispute. Critically injured Januka succumbed while being brought to district hospital for treatment, said DSP Anupam Shumsher Jung Bahadur Rana. Police arrested Biren the same night. Januka has 6-year-old son and a nine month daughter. Her body is kept at the district hospital for post-mortem.
