Bardiya/September 23 The district court has sent three persons to custody for investigation in a human trafficking and transportation case on September 21. Those remanded in custody are Chhetra Kumar Chhetri, 38, of Makar VDC-6 in Nawalparasi, Sohrab Pathan Dhobi, 53, of Gulariya Municipality-7 and Khadga Bahadur Magar, 37, of Suryapatuwa VDC. Police had arrested them on September 3 on charge of illegally taking six women of Nawalparasi and on of Rupandehi, between the ages from 25 to 38, to Kuwait via Delhi. The women, who were rescued from Indian border Laukahi, were handed over to their guardians on September 5.
