Locals of Shankarapur municipality who have been protesting against the construction of sub-station in their locality staged a demonstration against the Millenium Challenge Corporation (MCC) citing that the sub-station was being constructed under MCC. Situation turned tense after police tried to intervene at the protest. The locals allege that authorities are surveying their fields without their permission for the construction of the sub-station.
