The locals of Basantapur in Myanglung of Terhathum staged a demonstration against the expansion of Pushpalal (Madhyapahari Lokmarg) on January 12. The demonstrators stated that the expansion of the road would affect their housing situation. The demonstrators alleged that the construction of the public road from the middle of the road would mean demolishing the houses in the main square and they would be displaced due  to it.
