A 15-year-old girl teenager has sustained injury after being beaten by her step-mother in Khotang. According to police, the teenager Binita Acharya sustained injuries on her eye and different parts of her body after her step-mother, Chandrakala Rijal (Acharya) of Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi municipality-1 Diktel beat her on January 13 afternoon. The girl was sent to Tilganga hospital in Kathmandu for treatment and was referred to KMC hospital from there. Police have arrested Chandrakala and are further investigating the incident according to DSP Manjil Mukarung of District Police Office Khotang.
