Police arrested 39 year old Harka Bahadur Rai of ward no. 5 of Dharan sub metropolitan city in Sunsari on the charge of murder of 35-year-old Kumar Budhathoki, who is also a local resident. Rai and Budhathoki were friends, and the former killed Budhathoki by attacking with Khukuri on January 19. 

After murdering own friend, Rai barged into the house of Manju Khadka Rai and blindly attacked her with Khukuri. Khadka ran away from the scene to nearby kitchen garden, where Rai followed and kept attacking her until locals took control of Rai. Manju sustained serious injury in the attack and was admitted to Bijaypur Hospital in Dharan. 

The reason of attack remains unknown. Further investigation is being goin on.
