Prem Thapa a principal of Chandrajyoti Secondary School located at Ghiring rural municipality of Tanahu was arrested on the charge of physically assaulting 42 students for "not following the rules". Due to the assault a student named Lilamaya Ale of Bhimad municipality-4 sustained injury. According to the police, the students were staying in a hostel to prepare for SEE.
Whereas the principal alleged that he only assaulted the students to perform better in the tests and it was rather an act to encourage students.
