Kapilbastu,Farar bhayeka balatkrit aropi pakrau. Arghakhanchi Police has handed over Ananta Nepali, 35, of Naya Basti in Thuniya VDC-7 to Chandrauta Ward Police Office in Kapilbastu. Nepali had been on the run after being accused of raping a 9-year-old girl. Human rights activists including INSEC district representative had pressurized the Chandrauta police to arrest the accused. Police managed to arrest him after getting tip off that he had gone to Arghakhanchi from Kapilbastu. Nepali is accused of raping the girl at her home at around 1 am on September 6 in inebriated condition. Local political leaders forced the victim family to settle the case after persuading them to accept Rs 1,000 citing it was a village-level case and should be settled within the village. The human rights activists had helped the family to lodge the complaint at Ward Police Office Chandrauta after the incident came to light.
