Kalikot, Chuwachut gareko arop ma 10 jana birudha ujuri. A complaint of caste based discrimination has been filed against 10 locals, including Jasmal Ramjali of Bharta VDC-6 at the District Police Office on October 7. They have been accused of beating up three youths on charge of entering the Kalika temple in same VDC. Jagmal Sunar, 20, Arjun BK, 16, and Bikas BK, 16, were injured after the group beat them saying that the people from Dalit community could not enter the temple according to tradition. The injured are undergoing treatment at District Hospital Kalikot. DSP Lakshman Gurung said that the accused have been arrested and action would be taken against them after investigation.
