Family members of a youth who was murdered two weeks ago has refused to receive the deceased's body accusing the police of refusing to lodge complaint against the murder. 20-year-old Rajendra BK of Runtigadhi rural municipality-2 in Rolpa who had gone to attend a relative's wedding on February 12 was found dead at Ramli community forest on February 13. Although police stated that Rajendra died after falling off cliff at the community forest, his father stated that Rajendra's body was disposed at the site after being murdered elsewhere. He based his claim on the fact that his clothes were found disposed at his own home while one of his shoes was found at a relative's home. Police refused to lodge a complaint of murdered from the deceased's father against seven persons including a minor.
Rolpa police stated that although it was possible that Rajendra could have been murdered, they did not register complaint against the accused as they could not find any link to who could be possible perpetrators in the incident. The victim's body remains at Rapti institute of health sciences in Dang as his family has refused to receive the body until police registered complaint against the accused. Police are further investigating the incident.
