Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN staged a demonstration on February 28, in Kalikot against banks and financial institutions. The demonstrators alleged that the banks and financial institutions have been looting the general public by taking high-interest rates. Party's district secretary Shaha C said that the protest was held as a warning to stop the terror of high prices, corruption, exploitation of financial institutions and banks as well as loan-sharks.
