Lalitpur/ October 16 District court of Lalitpur has sentenced a 37-year-old man with 20-years imprisonment on October 15 for raping a 15-year-old girl. Police had arrested the accused and presented him before the district court on June 5 after a complaint was lodged against him on May 4. A single bench of district court judge Tek Narayan Kunwar issued the verdict regarding the case. The victim's mother had lodged a complaint at police office saying that the accused had been raping the girl since four years. The court has also issued an order in the name of the government to manage for the regular mental and physical health checkup and free education upto higher secondary level of the victim. Kaushal Gyawali, spokesperson of district court said that the court has also ordered to compensate Rs 500,000 from the government for the physical, mental and physiological damage suffered by the victim.
