Dhanusha,Boksiko aaropma kutpit, prahari moun. Dhanusha/October 15 An elderly woman has been beaten up by neighbors on charge of practicing witchcraft. Sabitri Devi Das, 60, of Bhutahi Paterwa VDC-5 was beaten up neighbors Rajendra Yadav, Sohindra Yadav, Jogi Yadav, Jitendra Yadav, Mahendra Yadav and others on October 9 on charge of bewitching Rajendra's grand daughter who had died during the Dashai festival. Women rights activist had rescued her from her home where she was lying injured for lack of funds for treatment. She is undergoing treatment at Janakpur Zonal Hospital with help from the rights activists. Police has not arrested anyone despite the FIR filed by the victim at the District Police Office. ASI Subhadra of the Women and Children Cell said that investigation is ongoing into the incident.
