Dhankuta, Samuhik balatkar ka aropit birudha mudda dayer. Police have registered a case against Dilli Prasad Adhikary alias Dipen, 28, of Hattikharka VDC-4 and Hikmut Limbu, 26, on October 14 on charge of gang-raping a woman. Inspector Sheshak Ram Thandar said that police registered the case at district court following a complaint filed by the victim on October 13. The victim was raped at Ramailo Ghumti in Dhankuta Municipality-1 while returning to Sunsari from Hile on October 8. A woman who was in the same microbus she was travelling had befriended her and locked her inside the room of the accused after taking her there. Local women rights activists had taken her to the District Police Office on October 9 after rescuing her. Medical check-up of the victim was conducted at the district hospital on the same day. Inspector Thandar said that search for the accused is ongoing.
