Poultry farmers of Banke staged a demonstration in Nepalgunj by letting Chickens free on the road on March 16 alleging that the chickens were imported illegally from India. The demonstrators alleged that due to the illegal import of chickens, Nepali poultry was unable to flourish in the chicken market. The demonstrators accused the district administration and police of not addressing this issue even though they already informed them.
