The natal family members of Sita Dahal, 31, of Jilling VDC-3 have staged demonstration in Bidur on October 13 after her body was found on the banks of Trishuli River near the Ghatbesi Bridge in Kumpur VDC, Dhading a day earlier. Dahal had left for her maternal home at Majhgaon in Khadgabhanjyang VDC-5 to receive Tika on October 2 but never reached there. Claiming that she was murdered, the women of Khadgabhanjyang chanted slogan demanding action against the perpetrators whole day. Her family members have filed FIR against three including her husband. Nuwakot District Police Office said that the investigation would be conducted by Dhading police as the body was found in that district. Her husband Krishna Prasad Dahal, 33, mother-in-law Tika Devi Dahal, 57, and sister-in-law Ishwari Dahal, 26, were arrested by the police on October 3 following informal complaint by the police. Police Inspector Prakash Sharma said they were being held under Public Offence Act. He added that the investigation process would go forward with postmortem of the body. Police had released Sita’s father-in-law October 4. N
