United National Squatters Front staged a demonstration in Maitighar of Kathmandu on March 27, against Kathmandu Metropolis Mayor Balendra Shah. The demonstrators alleged that Mayor took the lead of making squatters homeless which was against the constitution and law. He also warned Kathmandu Metropolitan City and Mayor Sah that they will be forced to stage further protests if the local administration tried to remove them instead of giving them landless property. The demonstrators chanted slogans demanding the unconditional release of the land activists arrested during the protest, and the dismissal of all the false cases against them.
