An FIR has been filed against Bhuwan Limbu, 32, of Bharapa VDC-3 at District Police Office on October 19 on charge of rape of a 23-year-old woman. According to the FIR filed by the victim, she was raped by Limbu on October 13 as she was walking during the night. Her medical checkup was conducted at District Hospital, Panchthar. The hospital sources said her condition is stable. Inspector Rabiraj Thapaliya of DPO said that a case of rape would be filed against him adding the police had begun searching for the absconding accused. In another case, the family members of a 14-year-old girl have filed a complaint against Uttam Limbu, 19, of Sarangdanda VDC-6 on October 18 on charge of rape attempt against her. The complaint said that the accused had tried to rape her on September 22 in Sarangdanda VDC-6. The family members of the girl said that the reason for late filing of the case was that the girl told them about the incident quite late. District Police Office it had registered the complaint and was searching for the accused who remained at large.
