Police arrested 24-year-old Kailash Mahato alias Ramu of Birgunj metropolis-15 and his 20-year-old wife Roshani Devi on the charge of murdering a 22-year-old Mahesh Sah alias Suraj of Jitpur Simara sub-metropolis-8 in Bara. According to the police, Mahesh, the deceased allegedly had an extra-marital affair with Roshani. They were allegedly living together.

Roshani reportedly killed Mahesh with the help of her husband after he refused to marry her on December 13 by calling him to meet in a field located at Bishrampur rural municipality-5 of Bara. Mahesh had refused to marry Roshani citing that they was already married and had a daughter. The couple had gone on therun after committing the murder. Police are further investigating the incident.
