Police have arrested two persons from Rautahat on the charge of physically assaulting a person by holding him hostage. The arrested have been as 21-year-old Rajbabu Patel alias Raja of Rajdevi municipality-6 Mohanpur and Mantribabu Raya alias Dipesh of Madhavnarayan Municipality-6. They allegedly abducted 30-year-old Raj Kumar Mahato alias Hiraman Mahato of Paroha municipalithy-3 and subjected him to physical assault. According to police, a group of around seven eight persons including the two beat him. They also demanded a ransom of rupees four lakhs from the victim. Police are further investigating the incident.
