Kathmandu, 44 jana shramik nepali ko shav bidesh ma alapatra. Kathmandu/October 22 A discussion has been held at the meeting of Parliament Committee on International Relations and Labor on October 22 after it came to light that the bodies of 44 Nepali working abroad were yet to be repatriated. It was told in the meeting that 21 bodies were lying in Saudi Arab, six in Malaysia, four in Kuwait and one in Dubai. Committee chairperson Prabhu Sah said that of 44, process to bring six bodies has begun but for others it will take time due to problems like not locating their or their family members and different legal complications. Replying to the queries on delay in repatriation of the dead bodies of the Nepali migrant workers, Labor and Employment State Minister Tek Bahadur Gurung informed that there were four bodies arriving in Nepal each day. He explained that negligence of the employer, difficulties to identify the worker, wrong details in the worker’s passport, illegal stay of the worker and prolonged legal process due to the workers’ death had created difficulty in bringing back the bodies. Committee chairperson Sah has instructed the government to submit written reply to the reasons for delay in repatriation of the body and bilateral labor agreements with receiving countries. काठ
