Locals of Chandagiri municipality staged a symbolic demonstration on May 1 by placing empty cans in front of Chandragiri municipality's office after not getting enough drinking water in Kathmandu. The demonstrators alleged that they would not remove the water cans unless they provide them with drinking water. One of the demonstrator Anju Nepal who is also a ward member of ward no. 12, alleged that even though other wards were getting more than enough water but they were still forced to drink water by paying.
