Nurses staged a demonstration in Kathmandu on May 22, demanding job security and a reduced workload. Nurse Deepa Giri, who participated in the sit-in, said that the main demand of the demonstrator is to reduce the workload of nurses and establish a certain limit of work. She alleged that even though she took care of more patients than her capacity for a low salary, her work was not evaluated. She further claimed that recently there is no safe environment for nurses to work and the criticism of nurses on social media should be stopped.
