Khotang/ October 30 SI Rajendra Prasad Yadav from Baraha Pokharai police post has been arrested by the police on October 29 on charge of attempting to rape 18-year-old mentally disabled girl. The victim's family had lodged a complaint at Area Police Office of Chisapani on October 28 accusing him of attempting to rape a girl while she was sleeping at her home. Police said that the accused has been arrested and was sent to the District Police Office of Diktel. He will be charged under the Rape Chapter of National Code, said DSP Binod Raj Kharel of District Police Office, Khotang. He further said that the accused had performed against the ethics of police department and will be severely punished.
