Kathmandu/ November 3 Laxmi Khatri, 27, of Manikhel VDC-4, Lalitpur and currently living at Swayambhu in Kathmandu Metropolis-15, has lodged a complaint against her husband Umesh Kumar Nepali, 26, at Women and Children Service Center under Metropolitan police range Kathmandu on November 3 for mentally and physically torturing her. The victim said that she was physically tortured and inhumanely treated by her husband after having an extra-material affair with a woman based in Swayambhu. She further demanded for her security and action against her husband as per the Domestic Violence Act 2066. Along with the complaint, a Metropolitan Range, Kalimati has been asked to arrest the accused and to initiate the investigation, said SI Geeta Thapa of Women and Children Service Center. The victim was married to the accused just six months ago in the Hindu tradition.
