Ilam/November 7 District court in Ilam has sentenced Arbin Yongya, 26, of Chulachuli VDC-8 to five years in prison on November 7 convicting him of raping a 30-year-old woman. The District Court invoked the provisions of no. 1 and 3 (5) of Rape chapter of the Country Code jailing him for five years and al instructing him to to pay Rs 25,000 to the victim. Yongya was arrested on September 10 by a team deployed from Peltimari Police Report, Chulachuli after a complaint was filed against him on charge of raping the woman on September 8. He was in the District Prison since September 23.
