Rajbiraj, Chaitau patak biwaha garna ka lagi mahila mathi yatana. Sanjila Devi Yadav of Rajbiraj accused her husband of torturing and conspiring to kick her out of home. He is looking forward to marry for the sixth time, she said. Sanjila of Rajbiraj Municipality-9 in Saptari district expressed her grief at a press meet held on Wednesday. Raj Kumar Yadav, the husband, is an engineer at the Drinking Water and Sanitation Division Office, Rajbiraj. "He had been beating and scolding me for two years," she said. Sanjila herself is the fifth wife of Raj Kumar. "He is trying to shut the door of my house on my face in order to marry for the sixth time," she said, "He has been conspiring against me so that I would flee from home." According to him, he hired some men and had them thrash her black and blue. "They tied me and tortured me," she said, "They even confiscated my jewelleries." The victim had filed a complaint at the District Police Office, Saptari in the third week of October. Earlier, while settling a domestic dispute, her husband had signed an aggrement to live in harmony and she had returned home. But, the brutality did not stop. After that, she crept toward her parents' home in Mahadeva seeking a safe haven. She has been staying there for last three weeks. Speaking at the programme, the woman said she no more wishes to stay with the husband. She rather demanded a share of properties from he so that she can live on her own.
