Saptari/ November 14 Police have arrested Umesh Kumar Yadav, 35, of Bishnupur VDC-4, Itahari on November 13 from Rajbiraj municipality-1 on charge of attempting to rape a 25-year-old woman. The accused was at large after the incident. He has been charged for attempting to rape a victim on the night of September 13 by entering into her room through window, said DPO. The other accused Ashis Lal Yadav, 40, of Bishnupur VDC-3 is still absconding, said police. The victim had lodged a complaint at DPO on September 14 against the accused. She underwent a health checkup at zonal hospital of Rajbiraj on September 15. The district police office of Saptari had registered the case against the accused under rape charge and issued a warrant against the accused on September 16.
