Sabitri Damai, 24, of Pandav Gufa VDC-7 has filed a complaint against husband Ubjan Damai, 25, of Sheri VDC-9 in Mugu at the Women and Children Service Centre in the District Police Office on November 17 on charge of forcing her out of house. According to the victim, her husband beat her and inflicted sexual violence upon her. She has been staying in the emergency women service center in the district headquarters since November 17. She was staying at her maternal home with her daughter after she was expelled from her house on August 20. She accused her husband of not providing food for her and taking away her 6-year-old son. SI Sushila Gurung of the WCSC said that the DPO Mugu has been asked to take action regarding the victim's complaint.
