Gayatri BK, 19, of Ghodagaun VDC-7 has lodged a complaint at district police office on November 18 against her husband and in-laws demanding action against them for discriminating her on the basis of caste and expelling her from the house. The victim said that she had a long relationship with her husband Bhim Bahadur Gharti, 21; however, they were discriminated by her father-in-law Udiram Gharti and mother-in-law Gaumati Gharti after they got married on October 25. She added that she was barred to enter the house because she belonged to a Dalit community and since then she was living in a hotel at Dharampani of Swargadwari. She was compelled to lodge a complaint after her husband also fled from the house, she added. DSP Nabin Raj Rai said that the respective police unit has been directed to take immediate action against the accused.
